An impactful project generously funded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ''Saudi Fund for Development'' (SFD) in partnership with the Afghanistan Humanitarian Trust Fund (AHTF) managed by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) through the Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC), has significantly boosted agricultural livelihoods, climate resilience, and community development in Yaftal-e-Payan District in Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan.
More than 17,000 babies and young children have been treated for severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in Kandahar province in south Afghanistan thanks to a co-ordinated humanitarian relief effort funded by the King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Center (KSrelief) via the Afghanistan Humanitarian Trust Fund (AHTF) which operates under the management of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
On the sidelines of the 2024 Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group’s Annual Meetings and the Bank’s 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee, in Riyadh, Suriname’s Minister of Finance and Planning, H.E. Mr. Stanley Raghoebarsing met with IsDB President and Group Chairman, H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, where the two sides launched the new Country Engagement Framework (CEF) for Suriname (2024-2026).
